Jackson Posey is a national award-winning journalist and storyteller with an eye for the beauty of everyday life. With extensive experience as a writer/reporter, editor, podcaster and social media manager, he's passionate about creating engaging, multimedia content in today's rapidly evolving media landscape.
Posey is an undergraduate Journalism and Religion double-major at Baylor University, on track to graduate in May 2026. He successfully defended his Honors thesis and will enroll at Duke Divinity School in the fall.
Professional bio
Jackson Posey currently serves as the Sports Editor and Podcasting Director for The Baylor Lariat. He's earned national acclaim for his coverage, including a national third-place Pinnacle Award for Best Coverage of Faith and a Best Overall Show nod from the Baptist Communicators Association for his sports podcast, Don't Feed The Bears. He also won Lariateer of the Year honors in 2025 and was named 2026 Undergraduate Researcher of the Year by the Baylor Department of Journalism, Public Relations and New Media.
His previous stops include content production for Focus on the Family; football broadcasting, social media management, and advertising sales for Look! Livestreams and Rogue Media Network; sportswriting for Sports Illustrated's Inside The Bears; and various ministry internships for CrossBridge Community Church and Antioch Community Church.
Posey began his professional writing career way back in middle school, cranking out NBA columns and draft coverage for Fadeaway World. Storytelling has been his heartbeat since he was a child, and now he's found a proper medium. He's been hooked ever since.
